Esteemed in cocktails and cookery, Grapefruit Bitters are a flexible and fresh addition to any home bar. Grapefruit Bitters pair especially well with citrus-forward drinks made with rum, tequila, gin and vodka, and are the often-underutilized key to balancing sweet notes in popular cocktails. Taught by professional barman and Honest John Bitters Product Educator Adam Albro, this class will cover how best to choose, taste and evaluate bitters, as well as how to utilize Grapefruit Bitters in cocktails, tea, baking, and more. We’ll discuss the fascinating history of a classic in the bartenders’ repertoire, the Daiquiri, and one of our favorite variations: The Hemingway Daiquiri (aka “Papa Doble”). The class includes ingredients and techniques needed to make a perfect Hemingway Daiquiri cocktail. Jaunty Panama hats, optional. $40/person
